Russell Ridge Animal Hospital (Russell Ridge or RRAH) is a multi-doctor practice located in Lawrenceville, Georiga and is a member hospital of Georgia Veterinary Associates (GVA). Russell Ridge is open 7 days a week and has an excellent support staff, including multiple RVTs. RRAH is well equipped with digital imaging modalities, including a NewTom 5G CT unit, ultrasonography, digital x-ray for dentistry and general imaging.

Apalachee Ridge Animal Hospital (Apalachee Ridge or ARAH) is a multi-doctor practice located in Dacula, Georgia and is a member hospital of Georgia Veterinary Associates (GVA). Apalachee Ridge is open 6 days a week and has an excellent support staff, including multiple RVTs. ARAH is well equipped with digital imaging modalities, ultrasonography, digital x-ray for dentistry and general imaging.

Hamilton Ridge Animal Hospital (Hamilton Ridge or HRAH) is a multi-doctor practice located in Lawrenceville, Georgia and is a member hospital of Georgia Veterinary Associates (GVA). Hamilton Ridge is open 6 days a week and has an excellent support staff, including multiple RVTs. The primary function of the GVA veterinary receptionist is to assist the DVM staff in the delivery of veterinary care to clients and patients. Working under the direct and indirect supervision of the Client Care Coordinator, the Receptionist is responsible for ensuring quality interaction through personal contact and phone contact with clients.


The Veterinary Receptionist is responsible for carrying out any task as directed by the attending veterinarian, hospital administrator or practice manager which may include, but is not limited to, the following:


1. Answering phones and relaying accurate messages
2. Working knowledge of our veterinary software.
3. Checking clients in and out, accurately filling out forms, processing payment.
4. Admission and discharge procedures.
5. Scheduling appointments for optimal hospital flow
6. Keeping office and convenience center supplies stocked appropriately.
7. Keeping the medical records accurately and neatly filed.
8. Confirming appointments, follow-up calls, and next day check up calls.
9. Understand hospital vaccine and testing requirements.
10. Understand our commitment to clients: Saftey/Courtesy/Show/Efficiency

Skills Required: 

Computer literacy, the capability to lift 40lbs alone, interact with animals, work a minimum of 4 hours standing only, basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). 

The Veterinary Receptionist must have knowledge of outpatient procedures, surgery, radiology, dentistry, medications, animal restraint, hospital flow, and appointment flow.
