Welcome to Episode 61!

In today's episode of People, Pets & Vets, we are not going to talk about the Coronavirus! We want to keep today's episode light as we introduce our special guest, Ronda Martin! Ronda has been with GVA since she was in high school and has worked in almost every position possible, minus veterinarian of course! Currently, she assists our Marketing Director with social media, puppy packs and so much more. She is also Angel's little sister! We'll ask her some would you rather questions as we get to know her.

Our Word of the Week is Lagomorph. The lagomorphs are the members of the taxonomic order Lagomorpha, of which there are two living families: the Leporidae (hares and rabbits) and the Ochotonidae (pikas). The name of the order is derived from the Ancient Greek lagos (λαγ?ς, "hare") + morph? (μορφ?, "form"). Our Word of the Week was inspired by a Lagamorphe spay we did over the weekend or a spay on a rabbit. While we talk about the greek and latin roots, we will start to sidetrack and talk about the zodiac.

We'll talk about social distancing and how some believe we need to use a different term like physical social distancing because we can still be social during this time!

In the news we will talk about the state of Oregon opening back up and how a friend of Dr. Miller's is happy to be able to start providing veterinary services to his client.

We will also talk about how dogs and pets help those with special needs and how critical they have been during this pandemic.

Lastly, we will hint at our next few special guests!

Do you have a medical condition you'd like Dr. Miller and Angel to talk about? Let us know! Email us at [email protected] or message us on Instagram or Facebook
