Welcome to Episode 63!

Welcome back our special guest, our extern veterinarian, Graham DePinto! We will talk more about his time at GVA and all the interesting surgeries that we've had the past week. We will talk a lot about surgeries in this very technical episode!

Our word of the week was inspired by a recent case, cholecystectomy (koh-luh-sis-TEK-tuh-me).

We'll talk about our Coronavirus inspired pet names, like Fauci and Rona.

In the news, the AVMA wants to remind everyone that zoonotic diseases can also be passed from humans to pets most notably, strep and kennel cough. We will also talk about antivenom and snake bites, and how we should be thankful for opossums and their immunity to snake bites! We will also talk about how Texas is trying to ward off a snail invasion.

We want to extend a huge shout out to Dr. Reiss and how much we miss her humor here at Russell Ridge! We are also seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!

AVMA, wants to make sure each dog brought into the US is tested and cleared before they enter the US!

Do you have a medical condition you'd like Dr. Miller and Angel to talk about? Let us know! Email us at [email protected] or message us on Instagram or Facebook

Thanks for listening and make sure to follow GVA on FacebookInstagramTwitter, and Pinterest.
